Job description
As a 3D Artist, you will be responsible for creating, modeling, texturing, and animating 3D characters, environments, and assets that bring creative projects to life. Working closely with the design, VFX, and animation teams, you will contribute to high-quality visuals that meet client specifications and enhance the storytelling experience. Your role is essential to producing immersive and realistic or stylized 3D content that elevates the quality of our projects across games, films, and digital media.
Responsibilities:
- Modeling: Design and build detailed 3D models of characters, environments, props, and assets based on concept art or project requirements.
- Texturing: Apply realistic or stylized textures, shaders, and materials to models, ensuring a high level of detail and consistency across all assets.
- Animation: Animate characters and objects, bringing them to life with fluid and dynamic movements that align with the project’s creative direction.
- Lighting & Rendering: Set up lighting and rendering parameters for optimal output quality and real-time performance.
- Optimization: Ensure models and textures are optimized for performance in various platforms, such as games or real-time applications, without sacrificing visual quality.
- Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges and ensure that all assets function smoothly in the pipeline.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a 3D Artist with a strong portfolio of 3D modeling, texturing, and animation work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
- Knowledge of UV mapping, rigging, lighting, and rendering techniques.
- Strong understanding of the principles of animation and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Game Engines: Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine for projects that require real-time rendering.
- Strong Artistic Sense: Solid grasp of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Adaptability to overcome technical challenges during production, especially in animation or rendering phases.
- Understanding of Animation Principles: Knowledge of timing, weight, and fluidity in movement for character and object animation.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate visual concepts and incorporate constructive feedback efficiently.
