Job description
The Line Producer is pivotal in managing the daily operations of film, TV, and digital production projects. They are responsible for overseeing all physical aspects of the production, from budgeting and scheduling to coordinating with key departments. Working closely with the producer, the Line Producer ensures that production stays on time and within budget while upholding quality standards. This role requires a blend of organizational skill, financial acumen, and on-the-ground problem-solving to keep the project on track through every stage of production.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the production budget, tracking all expenses, and making adjustments as necessary to maintain financial control.
- Create and oversee the production schedule, coordinating with department heads to ensure timely delivery of each project phase.
- Hire and allocate crew, equipment, and facilities needed for the production, negotiating contracts and rates as needed.
- Address on-set challenges, resolving issues in real-time to avoid delays or budget overruns.
- Ensure all production elements align with creative objectives and standards, balancing quality with cost and time constraints.
- Act as the primary contact for departments, managing communication and facilitating smooth collaboration among the crew, directors, and producers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Business, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in film or television production, with demonstrated experience in budget and schedule management for large projects.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to make cost-effective decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

- Ability to anticipate and address production challenges, demonstrating resourcefulness and adaptability on set.
